Shelters and Trails

Sinclair: The chimney is in rough shape and will need some maintenance or replacing in the summer. It's out of firewood. There is firewood set aside for there but we are waiting on Highland Heli to help us out.

Harold Price: The shelter is in great shape, very clean. The trail had it's first grooming on 8th. The groomer is pulled by sleds so if you go up that way please pull it behind your sled, the more grooming the better. The Blunt road is NOT being plowed. please use the parking lot at 4km. Also, some people ignored the signs and rode in the cross country ski club meadow. Please stay out of there, we don't need them to have a reason to complain.

Dome: The shelter is in great shape, very clean. The firewood is at about 3/4 capacity. Unfortunately there is not enough snow on the trail to groom. We tried but it was just turning up dirt and rocks. Please be patient as we wait for more snow.

Onion: No new news on the shelters. Unfortunately there isn't enough snow there for grooming either.

Microwave: No new news on either shelter nor the trail.

Membership numbers are going well. Snow is in thew forecast so get ready for the big snow. If you aren't going to be riding enough for a membership, then please purchase your day pass either at the Prestige Hudson Bay, Evergreen, Trails North or from the collector on site.

Let's all remember that it's the membership that keeps this club running, the trails groomed and our riding areas open. However there are a lot of riders who don't pay thier membership fees. So we all, at some point, are probably riding with people who refuse to pay. Let's all remind these riders that without us there would be no groomed trails, no shelters and very few riding areas. Let's all convince them to buy their memberships and day passes!
